Differential equations
What is differential equations?
A differential equation relates a function to its derivatives. A-Level Maths examines first-order separable equations (dy/dx = f(x)·g(y)), solved by separating variables and integrating both sides. Applications include exponential growth/decay (dN/dt = kN), Newton's law of cooling and rate-of-reaction models. Further Maths extends to second-order equations and integrating factors.
