Past papers — frequently asked questions
Are these papers for Combined Science or Triple Science?
These are Edexcel GCSE Physics (1PH0) papers — the Triple/Separate Science route. For Combined Science (1SC0) Physics-only papers, follow the spec link and pick the Combined Science route on Pearson's site.
What's the difference between Foundation and Higher tier?
Foundation targets grades 1–5 and Higher targets grades 4–9. The papers share some questions in the overlap band, but each is sat as a complete paper — students don't mix tiers.
How recent are the papers listed?
We list June series 2019 through 2024. Pearson typically publishes the latest June series in the following autumn once moderation closes.
What's the best way to use these for revision?
Sit one full paper under timed conditions, mark it strictly against the mark scheme, and log every dropped mark by topic and command word (describe, explain, calculate). The Error Log then suggests the shortest practice set to repair the gap.
Are past papers free to download?
Official past papers and mark schemes are published by the exam board and are free to download from their site. The links in this hub send you to the board's official PDFs — StudyVector does not rehost them.
